About Free TV

Free TV is an industry body which represents all of Australia’s commercial free-to-air television licensees.

For over sixty years, millions of Australians have depended on commercial free-to-air television for trustworthy news and current affairs coverage, to get their fix of live sport, and for daily entertainment. Always for free.

While much has changed since free-to-air television first launched in 1956, our members have always kept ahead of the pack and now provide a wide array of channels and content, as well as rich online and mobile offerings.

Australians still love Free TV - 13 million people watch it every day.
