CAD Fees

Television Commercials

CAD maintains two different fee structures for classification of television commercials. The Metropolitan fee structure applies to television commercials produced for a campaign which is broadcast nationally in a combination of metropolitan and regional markets, eg campaign on-air Sydney, Melbourne, Newcastle and Wollongong; OR in Metropolitan markets only (one or more of the five capital cities).

The Regional fee structure applies to television commercials produced for a campaign which is broadcast solely in regional markets, eg a campaign on-air solely in Canberra. A revision of a TVC that is part of a campaign that has aired in metro markets will be charged at the Metropolitan rates.

Fees for classification of TVCs airing in national and metro only markets will increase from Monday, 10 November 2008. CAD's Pre-Check Service offering pre-production comments on scripts remains free-of-charge. All other fees remain unchanged.

Fees for classification of TVCs are provided below for download in PDF format.

Please ensure you refer to these fees when completing your application and confirm where the commercial will go to air on the Application/Order form. If this section of the form is not completed, we will assume the commercial/s are to air in National/Metro.

Infomercials

There is a separate fee structure for classification of Infomercials. The fees applicable when applying for a CAD number for a completed infomercial are provided below to download in PDF format.
