Processing Times for Infomercials
You must allow twenty-eight (28) days for classification of infomercials, given their longer duration. Please consider the following when applying for classification of infomercials:
1. Ensure you incorporate enough time to modify your infomercial, if required.
2. You may also need to allow time for captioning.
3. Please ensure you allow enough time for your infomercial to be despatched prior to your on-air date.
The application asks you to state the despatch date and on-air date. If these dates are brought forward, please advise CAD immediately to avoid missing your on-air commitments. Don’t forget to also advise us if your deadline is pushed back as this will assist CAD to prioritise applications.

CAD must receive ALL materials before classification can commence.
Failure to submit a completed application along with a copy of the final commercial/s will delay classification.
Applications are prioritised by despatch date and then processed in strict order in which they are received by CAD.
CAD’s business hours are Monday to Thursday 9:00am to 5.30pm, Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm (except public holidays).
