Does my device have a Parental Lock?
Most digital televisions, digital set-top-boxes and personal video recorders have a Parental Lock.
The Parental Lock is normally accessed via your device’s MENU or SET-UP function which can be accessed via your remote control.
If you are unsure whether your particular device has this feature, you should refer to your product manual or user guide, or contact the manufacturer.
From 4 February 2011, all new models of digital television receivers sold in Australia are required, by law, to include a Parental Lock function.
If you would like to make a complaint to the ACMA (Australian Communications and Media Authority) about equipment you believe may not comply with the Parental Lock standard, please click here to be redirected to the ACMA website.
